- You can continue using most of these on a PC if you'd like.
- Dpaint is available on the PC (it's hopelessly outdated though), AdPro
- has never been ported. I'd doubt you'd want to use these programs when
- you can play around with classy software like Fractal Painter and
- Photoshop though; Scala is being ported to the PC right now (an Amiga
- friend of mine has received the final beta a few days ago and is
- mightily impressed); Lightwave has been available on Windows/NT for
- more than a year now. LW 5.0 has just been announced and will support
- Open GL on NT machines, a feature the Amiga version will have to go
- without for obvious reasons. There's also going to be a Mac version in
- the future if you're a Windows hater.
-
- I wonder why'd you feel revulsion when you're thinking of working on a
- PC or Mac. Most graphic professionals have already moved on for good
- reasons (faster machines and graphics, better software with more
- features and infinite better support). Even if you prefer the Amiga
- OS, it's the applications that make you productive and the Amiga has
- lost the edge years ago.
